Should I be going to hospital if I feel unwell? Not without prior assessment - please follow the simple guide:

As always - if you have critical medical emergency, call 999.

If it's not an emergency;

1. If you have mild symptoms or are looking for information then please visit www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus - if you can't find the answer all the special helpline on 0800 028 2816.

2. If you have Covid-19 symptoms and feel you cannot manage home - call NHS 24 on 111.

3. For all other non-Covid-19 health matter - call your own GP practice.

This country is facing a public health emergency. The impact of Coronavirus is becoming greater everyday. As a practice we will be doing our utmost to protect our patients and staff. To this end we have today taken the very difficult decision to close the surgery front door and all access will be mediated through an enhanced telephone triage service.

The practice phone number is 0345 337 99 88

The length of time that the triage service works in the morning and afternoon has been extended to 8.30 to 9.30 and 1.30 to 2.30. As long as we have the staff available the access to same day telephone advice will be enhanced.

Commencing October 2019

Patients eligible for a flu vaccination are encouraged to book a flu clinic appointment to help protect themselves and others.

GP Appointments

Patients are advised to telephone at the duty team times (8.30 - 9am & 1.30 - 2pm) to speak with our duty team for all GP appointments.

To maximise our valuable and limited resources, it is essential that patients cancel any appointments (doctor/nurse) that they no longer require or are unable to attend

 

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • non_nhs_services3Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Passport signing
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
